[SMM Analysis] December Nickel Sulphate Trade Trend Analysis

According to the latest data from China Customs, China's nickel sulphate imports totaled 5,125 mt (metal content) in December 2024, up 29% MoM and up 99% YoY. Nickel sulphate exports reached 97 mt (metal content), up 55% MoM but down 65% YoY. Net imports of nickel sulphate in December 2024 stood at 5,027 mt (metal content), up 28% MoM and up 119% YoY. The increase in exports this month was mainly driven by Indonesia and Xinjiapi, while the growth in imports was primarily contributed by Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Thailand. This month's net imports of nickel salts increased, aligning with expectations from the previous month.
